Pageant Car Show
The Eastland Chamber of Commerce will once again host
Ripfest. We have moved the festival to October and we are hoping for
cooler temperatures! This years date is Saturday, October 6th.
The 5k run, sponsored by Starbucks will begin
at 8:00am.
The parade will begin at 10:00am. This year's parade theme is a tribute
to our veterans and our firefighters. They have certainly earned our
appreciation! This year's parade will include a Hum-Vee III from the
United States Army, characters like Chester Cheetah, The Oreo Man, The
Keebler Elf, and The Coca Cola Polar Bear!
Amusements this year will include a NASCAR, NASCAR Simulator, a giant
firetruck slide, a towering rock wall, and two aircastles, plus games
from Coca Cola and The U.S. Army!
We are very excited about the Ripfest entertainment! Our showcase of
talent includes The Exit Band, a Barbershop Quartet sponsored by The
Nancy Seaberry Frost Arts Endowment (NSF Arts), The St. Vincent
Folklorico Ballet Dancers of Abilene, The Rip Tide Squares, The
Breckenridge Hot Footers, Siebert Singers, Randy the Magician, and
Elvis!
